Socio-Anthropological Debate on the Contribution of Women to the Reproduction of Patriarchy

This article highlights an important aspect of the theoretical debate on the contribution of women to the reproduction of male domination within the work of three researchers - Maurice Godelier, Nicole-Claude Mathieu and Pierre Bourdieu. These three thinkers attempted to determine, from a socioanthropological perspective, the key factors elucidating the causes and conditions surrounding women’s contribution and complicity in reproducing patriarchal systems.
