Annual Conference of Social and Human Sciences organized by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies

The ACRPS held the First Annual Conference on the Social Sciences and Humanities from March 24-26, 2012 in Doha, Qatar. Around 100 researchers and participants attended from across the Arab countries and the generations. The Conference had two tracks: “From Hampered Growth to Sustainable Development: Which Socioeconomic Policies for Arab Countries?” which comprised 29 papers; and “Identity and Language in the Arab Homeland”, which included 36 papers. The conference provided the opportunity for new research to be presented and offered a platform for the Arab academic community to meet and interact, by exchanging expertise and knowledge and forming links between the older and younger generation of scholars.
