The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) has published the twenty second issue of its quarterly peer-reviewed journal Omran, a journal dedicated to the social sciences and humanities. Alotaibi); “Sixty-Nine Years after the Nakba: The Political Culture and Representation of Refugees in the Camps of the West Bank and Gaza” (Bilal Awad Salameh); “Moroccan Emigration to France (1912–1974): The Position of Youth” (Khalid Aweso); “The Army and Irregular Armed Groups in Iraq: The State versus the Ethnic Alternative” (Ali Abdulhadi Almamoori); “What are the Social Bonds that Turn Groups and Individuals into Society” (Maurice Gondolier) and “Protest in Morocco and the Deprivation Thesis: The Need to Expand Interpretive Approaches” (Elsabe Stay Zineddine). The book review section includes Azzam Amin on “The Arab Intellectual and the Tiananmen Square Syndrome”; Norddine Azolane Hicham Bubo on “The Structuralism of Claude Levi Strauss or Toward a Phonology of Culture” and Mahmoud Djoundi on “Essential Concepts in Sociology”. In the report section, the Editorial Board covered “Arab Youth: Migration and the Future” as part of the proceedings for the Sixth Annual Conference on the Social Sciences held by the ACRPS, from March 18-20, 2017 in Doha.
