Researcher in Economics and expert and Director of the Department of Economic Planning at the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics in Qatar. He served as Lecturer in Economics at the Universities of Aleppo, Damascus, and Qatar, and as Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics at the European University in Damascus, as President of University of Jazeera and as Director of the State Planning Commission of the Syrian Arab Republic. He obtained his PhD in Economics from Sorbonne University, France.
